Purpose of a music video
Music videos are created for many reasons:
- They illustrate the lyrics
- They can increase the revenue stream
- Music videos can often tell a story to the viewer
- A good music video can increase the popularity of the song
- They can evoke reactions from viewers
A2 Brief 2013-2014
Brief
This brief for my A2 Coursework Portfolio in Media is as follows:
A promotional package for the release of an album to include a music promo video, together with two of the following:
- A digipak for the album's release; 6 panes
- A magazine advertisement for the digipak
The project is divided into four sections; Research, Planning, Construction and Evaluation. Research will involve looking into the trends and conventions of a given genre and planning will involve planning my products around these conventions. Construction will involve lots of draft work as I strive towards the final product. The final Evaluation stages will be based on looking back on the success of the product - did I set out to do what I planned?
